Agriculture
The science, art or practice of cultivating the soil, producing crops, and raising livestock and in varying degrees the preparation and marketing of the resulting products.
History
In the early times people settled by rivers where seasional floods would provide silt for great harvests. In the 1700's the agriculture revolution happened which came with much larger production of crops. In the 1850's the revolution spilled over with new merchanized methods which increased production rate. Farms got much larger and also much larger harvests. In recent years the advantages of steam powered and gas have made farming much easier.
